MedSciNet was founded by Professor Magnus Westgren and Associate Professor Marius Kublickas from the Swedish Karolinska Institute in 1995. Since then the company has grown steadily, and developed its business around the world. Camilla Björk is the CEO of MedSciNet since August 2018. Prior to her appointment at MedSciNet, Camilla held the position of senior technical project manager and team leader at QRC Stockholm — the Stockholm County Council department of Quality Registers. At QRC Camilla’s primary focus was supporting quality registers within obstetrics, women’s health, assisted reproduction and neonatal care, with development of integrations with EMR, BI solutions and analytics. She also assisted quality registers and research studies in complying with current legislation such as GDPR and Swedish Public Procurement Act.
Camilla has a long experience in development of applications for academic medicine and biobanking gained during her work as a software developer and group manager at the Karolinska Institute.
Large-scale epidemiological research initiatives that Camilla has worked with include LifeGene, EpiHealth, Stockholm 3, The Swedish Twin Registry and the Broad study.
Camilla holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree with a focus on electrical engineering and wireless networks from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Vita is the Managing Director for Lithuania, responsible for the Vilnius Office's operational management.
Prior to her appointment in 2014, Vita held various senior level positions within MedSciNet and other IT companies.
Vita holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Vilnius University, Lithuania.
Laima Rebaodo is the UK Branch Manager, responsible for office management and for the projects stakeholder management.
Prior to her appointment in 2006, Laima worked as a software developer and a project manager for UAB Blue Bridge in Vilnius, responsible for IT project management.
Laima holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
Andrius is MedSciNet's Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to his appointment in 2015, Andrius worked as a software developer and project manager at MedSciNet and other IT companies in Lithuania.
Andrius holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Vilnius University, Lithuania.
Daina is the Ireland Branch Manager, responsible for office management and for the projects stakeholder management.
