MedSciNet continues its international growth and development with the opening of a subsidiary company in Ireland. The new branch is based in Cork, an important educational centre in Ireland and home to a number of the country’s top universities and research institutes.
“Establishing the new office was a natural step, since MedSciNet has been working with Irish researchers for many years now on a good number of projects,” says Daina Baublyte, who has been appointed to head the Ireland Branch. “Now we’ll be able to intensify that work, and provide an even better service for researchers and medical staff,” she adds.
Since it was founded in 1995 by Professor Magnus Westgren and Associate Professor Marius Kublickas from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, MedSciNet has steadily developed its business around the world. In addition to its headquarters in Stockholm, the company has opened offices in the UK and in the Baltic nation of Lithuania.
As Ireland Branch Manager, Daina Baublyte oversees stakeholder management for projects in the country. She brings significant experience in the design and implementation of software solutions for medical research thanks to her previous academic work as well as positions in developing software at MedSciNet and supporting perinatal research at University College Cork.
